ss29640: Hard resets, in the way you have described, are known to cause the date and time-of-day on the Forerunner 230/235, 630, 735XT, etc. to be lost. I haven't quite ascertained what the device then uses as the clock time upon restart, although I think it has something to do with the last time the device synced with Garmin Connect.
